Usually my preferred glam airs on the naturally enhanced side of things but I was feeling like a bad gal last night and decided to express that through my makeup… Then have a photoshoot in my bathroom lol (check out my mini “slay series” on my IG – @brittgarrison). But I love the way this look came out and wanted to share more info/unfiltered photos so you can see the true colors a little better.

Last week I had some free time one evening and decided to play in makeup. I ended up posting this look with two different lips – I had no idea it would turn out to be such a hit (for real) but I’m so glad it did! A couple of weeks ago Tracy Garley (my fellow Spartan and Owner of Zarkpa’s Boutique) approached me about collaborating on a few events during my next trip home to Detroit. I will admit that I was a little nervous being that I have been predominantly based in Los Angeles for the past 3.5 years, in addition to the fact that I had only done one on one classes with clients and close friends! BUT, when a door opens I believe you should walk in swinging, giving it your all! So without further ado, I’m excited to announce that I will be hosting my very first makeup class in Detroit, MI on Sunday, November 16th, 2014 at Zarkpa’s Boutique! Ahhhhhh! 🙂

I felt like playing in color last weekend and have been obsessed with the makeup from Beyonce’s music videos for the songs “Blow” and “Mine” so I decided to do a make up look — pulling the neon bright lips from Blow and the colorful smoky eye from Mine. So glad this finally dropped – This was the very first shoot that I assisted AJ Crimson (Celebrity Makeup Artist)! It was such an experience and great opportunity… and what’s even cooler is that I actually did the braid that is on the cover and one other picture from her spread lol!!! Ameriie was amazing! She’s so beautiful inside and out! I was already a fan, but working with her made me love her even more. 🙂
